Sergio Rampino was born in Mesagne (Apulia, Italy) on May 3 1984. He got his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Perugia (Umbria, Italy) in 2011, where he graduated with honors in 2007. His research, partly carried out in many research and computing centres in Europe, has focused on several subjects of Theoretical and Computational Chemistry such as quantum dynamics of elementary reactions, common data formats for quantum chemistry, relativistic Density Functional Theory, Grid computing and High Performance computing. He is currently a post-doc researcher at the Italian National Research Council hosted by the University of Perugia, where he works on the development of an all-electron four-component Dirac-Kohn-Sham parallel program. Since 2012 he's got a Bachelor Degree with honors in `Letters' (University of Perugia).
